STEADY U to being fall standing tall
< < Back toOhio officials are spreading awareness of a fall prevention initiative among older Ohioans through called STEADY U.
Lead by Gov. John Kasich and the Ohio Department of aging, STEADY U is aimed to urge families and communities to talk about falling among the elderly.
According to the Ohio Department of Aging, falls among older adults are the number one cause of injuries and trips to the emergency room.
Branching off of STEADY U, the ODOA has started A Matter of Balance to help individuals increase their activity to prevent falling.
A Matter of Balance will be setting up balance assessment tests throughout Ohio.
