Week 5 Power Rankings: TVC-hocking
< < Back to1.) Trimble Tomcats (5-0, 4-0)
After five weeks, Trimble continues to dominate the TVC-Hocking. The offense put up over 60 points in weeks four and five, bringing the season point total up to 263. The Tomcats have been beating their opponents by an average of 46.2 points per game, partially due to the Tomcat defense that has only allowed 36 points through the first five games.
2.) Wahama White Falcons (4-1, 4-0)
The White Falcons raised their win streak to four in week five with a 40-12 win against Federal Hocking. They are sitting comfortably at second place in the Hocking with a pivotal match-up against Trimble awaiting them in week six.
3.) South Gallia Rebels (3-2, 2-1)
The South Gallia Rebels overcame sloppy play with a strong rushing attack against the Eastern Eagles to pick up a crucial 28-18 conference win. However, turning over the ball could lead to trouble down the stretch.
4. ) Eastern Eagles (2-3, 2-1)
The Eagles have already tied their win total from last season, but their 28-18 loss South Gallia didn’t put them any closer to toppling that total. Eastern has come close to eclipsing to the two-win mark with their losses having come by an average of 7.3 points per game.
5.) Belpre Golden Eagles (3-2, 2-2)
By week five last season, the Golden Eagles only had one win. This year, they already have three with their only losses coming at the hands of top-dogs Wahama and Trimble. Belpre’s offense is averaging just over 20 points per game while the defense is allowing an average of just under 26 points per contest.
6.) Southern Tornadoes (2-3, 1-2)
After a gritty 20-13 loss to Belpre, the road ahead is even more challenging for Southern. After having just two losses all of last season, Southern has amassed three already this year with Federal Hocking and Trimble coming up in the next two weeks.
7.) Waterford Wildcats (1-4, 1-2)
Following a week one win, the Wildcats are in the midst of a four game losing streak. With a 34-0 loss to Frontier in week five, they moved to 1-4. The Wildcats have put up less than ten points in the past three games while allowing just under 140.
8.) Fed Hock Lancers (0-5, 0-4)
The Lancers’ losing streak continued last Friday when they fell to Wahama 40-12. Fed Hock has yet to score more than 14 points in a contest as a challenging Southern squad awaits them.
9.) Miller Falcons (0-5, 0-4)
With a total of just 56 points on the season, the Falcons moved to 0-5 in week five after falling to Trimble 62-. The Falcons have allowed an average of 35 points per game while only putting up an average of seven.
