As the Homecoming Weekend approaches, the construction on campus continues.

Ohio University's annual Homecoming Parade celebrating "The Bobcat Family Reunion" is Saturday at 10 a.m.

Construction projects have been going on many places around campus, most notably College Green, the area near the Baker University Center and Park Place, and Union Street. The Baker Center and Park Place area along with Union Street are on the parade route. Union Street construction has concluded, and the Baker Center area has pushed fences and some construction back in order to accomade the floats and cars in the parade, although the project is not officially complete.

Assistant Director of Student Activities and the Campus Involvement Center, Brian Heilmeier, says the campus will be ready.

"The city's been great. We've been working with the city- Union Street was all set to go, so that got repaved and everything. That will be a nice walk up for our units. The construction outside of Baker, they actually moved the fences today, so students and spectators should be able to get through there nice and easy to see."

The parade will start on Factory Street, continue onto Union Street, and then turn right onto Court Street- moving the opposite way of the normal traffic flow. The route then proceeds to the Baker University Center and Park Place, and then heads to the Ping Recreation Center where floats will be recycled.
