State Improvements Planned For Southeast Ohio Park

The Department of Natural Resources says several capital projects are planned at Hocking Hills State Park in Hocking County. All 40 of the park’s cabins are expected to be renovated. Officials also want to add more full-service hook-up campsites.
Other improvements include updating the signage along the trails, upgrades to restrooms and new playground equipment in the campground area. The dining lodge is expected to get a new roof, and its outdoor pool will see renovations.
Ohio’s most recent capital budget included $88.5 million for updates and infrastructure improvements at state parks.
Officials are asking residents for their input on projects by visiting the ODNR website.
