Truck Made In Ohio To Carry Capitol Christmas Tree
< < Back to truck-made-ohio-carry-capitol-christmas-treeThis year's Capitol Christmas Tree may be from Minnesota, but the 88-foot tall White Spruce will arrive in Washington with a little help from Ohio.
The Chillicothe Gazette reports the giant Christmas tree from Chippewa National Forest will be transported on a festive semi-truck assembled in Chillicothe in southern Ohio. Kenworth Truck Company built the truck specifically to carry the tree.
The truck was driven Tuesday to Associated Graphics, Inc. in Plain City, northwest of Columbus, where it was wrapped in a vinyl covering and decorated. Over two days, the black truck was embellished with holiday graphics and depictions of the U.S. Capitol.
The truck will be driven to Minnesota to chauffeur the Christmas tree through several states before arriving on the west lawn of the Capitol in November.
