Riffe Gallery Presents “100 Years Of Ohio Watercolor”
< < Back to riffe-gallery-presents-100-years-ohio-watercolorIn a tribute to the Ohio Arts Council’s (OAC) 50th anniversary, the OAC’s Riffe Gallery will kick off 2015 with a milestone exhibition: 100 Years of Ohio Watercolor, Jan. 29 through April 12.
Produced by the Southern Ohio Museum, Portsmouth (SOM) and curated by SOM Artistic Director Charlotte Gordon, the exhibition will span the years 1915-2015 and showcase more than 45 Ohio artists working in the versatile medium of watercolor.
Some artists included the exhibition: August Biehle, Emerson Burkhardt, Alice Schille, Clarence Carter, Earl Jack, David Terry, and Cody Heichel.
100 Years of Ohio Watercolor is produced by the Southern Ohio Museum and presented by the Ohio Arts Council’s Riffe Gallery with media support from CD102.5, CityScene, Ohio Channel, WOSU, Ohio Magazine and WCBE 90.5 FM.
