Teen Charged In Circleville Bomb Threat
< < Back to teen-charged-in-circleville-bomb-threatA 17-year-old male is facing charges in connection with a bomb threat that was discovered at Circleville High School Monday morning.
The Circleville Herald reports that a student reported finding a threatening message written on the stall wall of a boys’ restroom Monday. The message indicated a bomb would go off in the school that morning and everyone needed to evacuate the building.
School Resource Officer Jon Farrelly said there were originally two male juvenile suspects being questioned, but after further investigation, one of the male suspects was eliminated.
Officer Farrelly tells the Herald the 17-year-old is being charged with inducing panic.
Circleville Police, as well as the Circleville Fire Department, responded to the threat and school officials completely evacuated the building.
No bomb or other ordinance was found.
