US Senate Rivals Strickland, Sittenfeld Note Differences
< < Back to us-senate-rivals-strickland-sittenfeld-note-differencesTwo Democrats seeking Ohio’s U.S. Senate seat in 2016 didn’t mention each other by name, but they did point out their differences at party’s annual legacy dinner in Columbus.
Former Ohio governor Ted Strickland and 30-year-old Cincinnati councilman P.G. Sittenfeld were among the featured speakers at the sold-out event Friday night.
The winner of next year’s Democratic primary will face incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Rob Portman.
Strickland told those in attendance that he had the maturity and experience needed in Congress. Sittenfeld said that Democrats need to make the election about the future.
