Ohio University’s executive vice president and provost is no longer being considered for the chancellor’s job at the University of Colorado Denver.

Pam Benoit was the sole candidate for the position at the institution as of late last month, but University of Colorado President Bruce Benson said last week the school’s search for a new leader failed to find a candidate with vast support.

CU Denver will begin a new search process in the fall.

Meanwhile, Benoit is also one of four finalists for chancellor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where she completed on-campus interviews between May 3rd and 5th.

Benoit has served as executive VP and Provost at OU since 2009 and previously served as the vice provost of advanced studies and the Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Missouri.

SIUC plans to name a new chancellor next month.
