Xenia Man Charged In Alleged Robbery of Two Athens Businesses

A Xenia man is in custody after attempting to rob two Richland Avenue businesses late Tuesday night.
Jody A. Brown, 32, of Columbus Street, is charged with two counts of robbery, one count of abduction and one count of disrupting public services relating to incidents at Athens’ McDonald’s and Speedway, both on Richland Avenue.
Brown appeared in Athens Municipal Court Wednesday morning for the purposes of bond which was levied at $100,000. He remains incarcerated at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
