Detectives Investigate Body Found in Burned Car
< < Back to detectives-investigate-body-found-in-burned-carCINCINNATI (AP) – Cincinnati detectives are investigating the burned remains of a male body found in a car on the city’s west side.
Police say a car was reported on fire shortly before 4 a.m. Friday in the Westwood neighborhood of Cincinnati. Firefighters found the body in the backseat of the car after the fire was extinguished.
The body was badly burned but the coroner’s office was able to determine the victim was male. The manner and cause of death has not been released pending the autopsy.
Detectives are attempting to identify the victim. They said the vehicle is a dark Buick LaCrosse registered to an address in the Cincinnati suburb of Forest Park.
A police spokeswoman says no other information was immediately available.
