Area Artists Featured During ARTS/West Celebration

As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, ARTS/West will host an opening for a group exhibit on Friday, Aug. 14, coinciding with the first night of a three-day event spotlighting local artists.

In June, a call was made to several local artists whose work had been featured in the ARTS/West gallery space, along with an invitation to exhibit work. Nine of the artists responded: Geoff Schenkel, Michelle Waters, Stephen Richter, James Shirey, Todd Morrow, Aaron Smith, Emily Beveridge, Kari Gunter-Seymour and John McVicker. Each artist’s work will be displayed during the three-day event and throughout August.

The exhibit opening is scheduled for 9 p.m. on Aug. 14. Regular gallery space hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. For more information, visit artswest.blogspot.com.
