OHSAA Announces Division Shifts

The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced revised divisions based on new male student enrollment totals. Six schools within our coverage area will be changing divisions.

Beginning in the TVC-Hocking, both Belpre and Federal Hocking dropped down to Division VII from Division VI. The schools boast male student enrollments of 98 and 96 respectively, according to the OHSAA.

Over in the TVC-Ohio, Nelsonville-York’s male student enrollment total increased to 146, bumping the Buckeyes up to Division V.

One county over, the Warren Warriors also saw an increase in male students, up to 290, pushing the Warriors up to Division III.

In MVL country, both Tri-Valley and Morgan moved up one division. Tri-Valley’s 361 male students pushed the Scotties into Division II while 270 male students at Morgan raised the Raiders to Division III.
