With an impressive win 26-20 over powerhouse Trimble, expect Nelsonville-York to be as confident as confident as ever moving forward.


  1. Alexander Spartans 1-0 (0-0)

The Spartans rolled past Federal Hocking 45-14 on Friday to keep the Spacer Trophy in Albany. Alexander improved vastly last season and has firmly inserted itself into the conference championship mix.


  1. Athens Bulldogs 0-1 (0-0)

The Bulldogs didn’t have quite enough firepower to outlast Logan last week, but the Bulldogs offense did prove its ability to shred through opposing defenses


  1. River Valley Raiders 1-0 (0-0)

River Valley sprinted out of the gates with a 26-0 win over Rock Hill. Moving forward, the Raiders should be favored in games against Southeastern and Eastern.


  1. Meigs Marauders 1-0 (0-0)

Meigs topped Gallia Academy 26-12, burying the Blue Devils early, but the Marauder defense did let its foot off of the gas late in the game, allowing Gallia Academy to score twice.

The Golden Rockets fell in their season opener 41-20 to rival Jackson, a game in which they were the underdog.

Vinton County’s offense struggled to get on track during its 21-6 loss to a tough Unioto team in week one.
