Two Mount Vernon Women Found Dead
< < Back toMOUNT VERNON, Ohio (AP) – Police are searching for a man related to one of two women who were found dead in their central Ohio home.
The Knox County Sheriff’s office says deputies were dispatched to the Mount Vernon home just before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say Sandra Stelk’s daughter called 911 after she entered the home. They say she told dispatchers that the 50-year-old Stelk was lying on her bedroom floor “with blood all over her.”
Officers then found the bodies of Stelk and 23-year-old Jaime Barber.
Police are trying to locate Stelk’s son, 31-year-old Travis Bonham, of Mount Vernon, who they say is not a suspect. Police say Barber is believed to have been in a relationship with Bonham.
Knox County Sheriff David Shaffer declined to say how the two women died.
