1.) Tri Valley 5-1 (4-0) | Last Rank: 2 | Next Opponent: vs. John Glenn

Tri-Valley has responded well to its week four loss to Zanesville, steamrolling New Lexington and West Muskingum 90-6, cumulatively.

2.) Sheridan 4-2 (4-0) | Last Rank: 3 | Next Opponent: @ Philo

Sheridan did what five other teams couldn’t do: contain Maysville’s offense. Combine a great defensive performance with some late-game heroics and Sheridan vaulted itself into title contention.

3.) Maysville 5-1 (4-1) | Last Rank: 1 | Next Opponent: vs. Morgan

Chase Roberts had an uncharacteristically down night, amassing only 21 rushing yards and leading the offense to a season-low six points against Sheridan.

4.) Crooksville 3-3 (2-3) | Last Rank: 5 | Next Opponent: vs. Danville

After five weeks of allowing 37.6 points per game, Crooksville’s defense pitched could do no wrong against Philo in a shutout victory. With two of its final three conference games coming against Morgan and John Glenn, a strong finish for Crooksville could be imminent.

5.) Philo 3-3 (3-2) | Last Rank: 4 | Next Opponent: vs. Sheridan

The Electrics have given up four points per contest over the past three games, but Friday’s loss also marked the second instance in which their offense was shutout.

6.) New Lexington 2-4 (2-2) | Last Rank: 6 | Next Opponent: @ West Muskingum

New Lexington has opened its season on a roller coaster ride. Two shutout losses, followed by two wins and two more losses in which the offense has looked stagnant. Fortunately for the Panthers, their next opponent has allowed fewer than 34 points in a game just once.

7.) West Muskingum 1-5 (1-5) | Last Rank: 7 | Next Opponent: vs. New Lexington

A week after scoring a season-high 34 points against Crooksville, West Muskingum’s offense took a step back, hanging only six points on Tri-Valley. The Tornadoes are averaging 11.5 points per game this season.

8.) John Glenn 1-5 (1-3) | Last Rank: 8 | Next Opponent: @ Tri Valley

The good news: John Glenn finally won. The not so good news: a road trip to Dresden is next.

9.) Morgan 0-6 (0-4) | Last Rank: 9 | Next Opponent: @ Maysville

Morgan’s losing streak now stands at 16 games, though its 29-12 loss to John Glenn stands as its closest conference loss this season.
