Texas Southern University Locks Down After Shooting

University spokesman Kendrick Callis said the shooting was reported around 11:30 a.m. Friday at University Courtyard Apartments on the edge of the Houston campus. Callis said the campus was placed on lockdown and classes were canceled for the rest of the day.
Houston Police tweeted early Friday afternoon that a possible suspect had been detained.
Police and emergency vehicles were at the scene. Additional details weren’t immediately available.
