CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) – The West Virginia DMV is touting a new website offering a range of online services, from vehicle registration renewals to checks on driver’s licenses.

DMV Commissioner Pat Reed is encouraging motorists to “skip the trip” and do their business online. The website includes forms, brochures, information on highway safety and the locations of regional offices.

Reed said the DMV worked with the state’s web portal vendor to develop a more user-friendly layout. The home page, for instance, has links to the DMV’s most visited services.

They include sample driver’s tests and a licensing handbook.

The DMV website can be found here.
