After a stunning week where she amassed 44 points in two games, Bobcat guard Quiera Lampkins was named the MAC East Player of the Week.
In addition to putting up big numbers, Lampkins helped her team to a 2-0 week. The first of those wins came against Middle Tennessee State where Lampkins had one of her best all-around games of the season. The junior guard shot 40 percent from the field while scoring 11 points and amassing five rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 72-49 win for Ohio.
Lampkins outdid herself just a few days later when she had arguably one of the best games of her entire career. The starting guard set a career-high in both points and steals, with 33 and 6 respectively. She also completely took over the game down the stretch, scoring 28 of her 33 points in the second half including15 straight points for the Bobcats. Lampkins also set career-highs in field goals made, 12, and shots taken, 22.
The Bobcats next game will be on January 6 when they finish out the final game of a three game home stand against Ball State.
