A former member of the Ohio University Men’s Basketball Team pleaded guilty on Tuesday to burglary.

According to the Athens Messenger, 21-year-old Dontonio Wingfield Jr., pleaded guilty in Athens County Common Pleas Court to a third-degree felony burglary charge as presented in a bill of information.

Judge Patrick Lang accepted the plea, holding it in abeyance as Wingfield enters the prosecutor’s office’s diversion program.

The charge against Wingfield was in relation to an incident in which someone sold drugs and was paid in fake money. Wingfield then went back to get real money which resulted in the charge.

Wingfield played in one game for the Bobcats during the 2013-14 season. Wingfield was medically disqualified as the result of a knee injury that never progressed following surgery in the summer of 2013.
