CLEVELAND (AP) – A Cleveland attorney thinks Ohio needs its own presidential center.

The state, after all, is the birthplace of seven U.S. presidents. And it’s certainly the center of presidential politics as of late.

Attorney James Robenalt says he’s still in the early stages of creating the center.

He envisions a place where scholars and history buffs could go to learn more about the presidents with Ohio roots and other past presidents.

Robenalt tells the Plain Dealer that he’s had preliminary talks with Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University as possible locations for the center.

He says it’s something that could be privately funded much like recent presidential libraries.
