Savannah Jo Dorsey Earns Back-to-Back MAC East Pitcher of the Week

Overall, Dorsey went 4-0 in four appearances with two starts and registered a 0.00 ERA in 23.2 innings. She walked two and struck out 39. On the weekend, opponents batted .066 against Dorsey.
On March 18 against IUPUI, Dorsey came in relief and pitched 3.1 innings, allowing no runs on one hit and striking out seven to help Ohio win 2-1 in nine innings. In the game, Dorsey recorded her 600th career strikeout, the first Bobcat ever to do so. Against NC State, Dorsey allowed no runs on one hit in seven innings of work. She struck out 12 in the 2-0 shutout victory.
On March 19 against Bryant, Dorsey came in relief once again and earned the 3-2 walk-off win. Dorsey pitched 5.1 innings and struck out 10.
In the championship game on March 20 against Bryant, Dorsey pitched eight innings and struck out 10 in the 2-1 walk off win in the eighth inning.
Ohio now hits the road for a doubleheader against Marshall on Tuesday, March 22.
