Ross County Issues Warning About “Unusually Powerful Heroin”
< < Back toCHILLICOTHE, Ohio – Officials in Ross County issued a heroin warning Tuesday night after reporting 15 overdoses since Sept. 1, including one suspected overdose death.
According to the Chillicothe Gazette, Chillicothe police, the Sheriff’s Office and Heroin Partnership Project officials sent the warning shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday after the high number of overdoses.
A warning of “tainted or unusually powerful heroin” that could be headed to the area was issued Aug. 26 by the Ross County Health District after overdose calls began mounting in Cincinnati. Three warnings of that nature have been issued this year by local officials.
