On January 21, 2017, half a million people came together to march for women’s rights and to have their voice heard. More than 600 marches, in other cities, states and countries, were also held as a show of solidarity with the March on Washington.

On January 21, 2017, hundreds from the state of Ohio participated at the WomenÕs March on Washington, carrying banners, and wearing pink pussy hats. Participants could be seen holding posters, or wearing sashes, stickers, and buttons, that displayed the state they travelled from. Some in the nearby crowd were from; Louisiana, New York, Maine, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, North Carolina, California, and Texas.   (Margo Sabec/WOUB)

The parking lots at RFK Stadium are one of the designated parking areas for the more than 1,000 buses that received parking permits for the Women’s March on Washington. As night falls, those that travelled by bus gather to board their buses and begin their journey back home. (Margo Sabec/WOUB)
