Klein Wins MAC Player of the Week

Redshirt junior Michael Klein took home the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week after an outstanding performance both on the mound and in the batter’s box over the season’s opening weekend.
Over their four games this week, Klein had six hits, two home runs and five RBIs.
In the season opener on Friday, Klein went 3-for-3 with a three-run homer to help the Bobcats earn their first victory over La Salle 10-2.
Klein got the start on the mound for Ohio on Sunday against Butler. Klein threw four scoreless innings and struck out five batters en route to a 4-0 victory for the Bobcats and 3-1 record to start off the season.
Klein and the ‘Cats will look to keep the momentum rolling into this weekend with a four-game series against Southern Illinois at Edwardsville.
