Roehn Wins MAC East Pitcher of the Week

Redshirt junior Jake Roehn took home the Mid-American Conference East Division Pitcher of the Week award after helping the Bobcats (5-3) split their weekend series against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.
On Saturday, Roehn did not allow a run a run in five innings of relief and struck out eight while giving up just three hits and one walk en route to picking up both wins on the mound.
On Roehn struck out four and walked just one in two innings, helping the Bobcats down the Cougars 6-4.
The next day, Roehn returned to the hill and continued his dominance, Roehn struck out four in three innings and surrendered just three hits over three innings as Ohio edged SIUE, 2-1, in 13 innings.
He combined with three other Bobcat pitchers to hold the Cougars to just one earned run on eight hits and two walks over 13 frames and 20 total strikeouts.
Ohio completes their visit in Emerson, Ga. Tuesday afternoon when they take on Alabama State (2-6).
First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
