Portions of W. Va. Under Winter Storm Watch

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Portions of far northern and eastern West Virginia are under a winter storm watch as a late-season system threatens to bring at least 5 inches of snow.The snow is expected to start Monday night and last through Tuesday. Expected wind gusts up to 30 mph could cause hazardous travel conditions along with isolated power outages.

The National Weather Service says the watch area includes Berkeley, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Monongalia, Morgan, Preston, and Tucker counties.
