The Blade reports the collection from retired Justice Judith Ann Lanzinger includes case notes with insight into her developing opinions during her time on the bench.
The university says photos, awards and research also are included.
Lanzinger says she hopes the documents are beneficial for future academic projects.
She and Justice Paul Pfeifer retired at the end of last year due to rules that prohibit justices over 70 from seeking re-election.
Lanzinger served in the judiciary system for three decades, including on the Toledo Municipal Court, Lucas County Common Pleas Court and 6th District Court of Appeals.
