A criminal complaint in Kanawha County Magistrate Court says 54-year-old Daniel Ralph Heyman of Charleston was charged Tuesday with willful disruption of governmental processes.
The American Civil Liberties Union says Heyman works for Public News Service.
Capitol police Sgt. Travas Bennett says in the complaint that Heyman was yelling questions at U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price and White House aide Kellyanne Conway. The complaint says Heyman “aggressively tried to breach the security of the Secret Service” and had to be removed from a hallway at the Capitol.
Price and Conway were in Charleston as part of a national tour on opioid addiction.
