1. Tri Valley Scotties 6-1 (5-0)

Next Opponent: John Glenn

Unofficial Playoff Ranking Region 11: 6th

The Scotties can all but clinch the Muskingum Valley League this week with a win against John Glenn. Tri-Valley currently sits sixth in Region 11 and should be able to secure a playoff spot if they win out. Scotties cannot afford a loss in the remaining three weeks if they want to play beyond week 10.

2. Philo Electrics 5-2 (4-1)

Next Opponent: Maysville

Unofficial Playoff Ranking Region 15: 7th

The Electrics secured a 42-14 win last week against Coshocton and are seventh in Region 15. If Philo wins out, expect to see them in the playoffs. The Electrics will be paying close attention to the John Glenn-Tri-Valley matchup, if the Little Muskies win, Philo has an excellent chance to win a share of the MVL crown.

3. John Glenn Little Muskies 6-1 (4-1)

Next Opponent: @ Tri-Valley

Unofficial Playoff Ranking Region 15: 3rd

The Little Muskies have outscored opponents 172-8 in the last three games as the offense is clicking at the right time. But John Glenn’s offense and quarterback Justin Heacock will be put to the test against a defense that has not surrendered more than 21 points all season. A win this week would lead to another three-way tie atop of the MVL with just two weeks left.

4. Sheridan Generals 3-4 (2-3)

Next Opponent: @ New Lexington

Unofficial Playoff Ranking Region 11: 17th

Two straight losses to the top teams did nothing to change the Generals position. Sheridan holds the slight edge over Maysville because of the head-to-head win in week 2. The Generals have a great chance to finish the season 6-4 but the playoff hopes are just about gone.

5. Maysville Panthers 5-2 (4-2)

Next Opponent: @ Philo

Unofficial Playoff Ranking Region 11: 14th

A 60-6 throbbing of 0-7 West Muskingum last week did nothing to change the position on the power rankings. Maysville has beat the teams near the bottom of the MVL but have failed to show up against top-tier teams. Games against Philo—Friday—and Tri-Valley remain on the schedule and will need to beat the two teams as well help from other teams to have any chance at a playoff or MVL title.

6. New Lexington Panthers 3-4 (3-2)

Next Opponent: Sheridan

Unofficial Playoff Ranking Region 15: 16th

New Lexington ended a three-game skid with a narrow victory against Crooksville last week with a 32-19 victory. The Panthers now enter the toughest stretch of the schedule with games against Sheridan, John Glenn and Philo.

7. Crooksville Ceramics 3-4 (1-4)

Next Opponent: @ West Muskingum

Unofficial Playoff Ranking Region 23: 11th

The Ceramics will have a great chance to bounce back following a loss to New Lexington. Crooksville travels to winless West Muskingum in attempts to savor any chance of a .500 record.

8. Morgan Raiders 1-6 (1-5)

Next Opponent: Shenandoah

Unofficial Playoff Ranking Region 15: 22nd

The final stretch of the season does not get any easier for the Raiders who play against 6-1 Shenandoah this week then a 5-2 Philo. Morgan’s best chance at a win will come week 10 if they can upset Sheridan.

9. West Muskingum Tornadoes 0-7 (0-6)

Next Opponent: Crooksville

Unofficial Playoff Ranking Region 19: 25th

Still winless and having only scored six points in the last three games, the Tornadoes’ best chance at a win comes this week against Crooksville or week 10 against Monroe Central.
