If you’re ready to get in the mood for the holidays, join the Zanesville Community Theatre for their upcoming production of In-Laws, Outlaws and Other People. The production runs for two weekends, October 27, 28 and November 3, 4 at 8 p.m. with Sunday matinees on October 29 and November 5 at 2:30 p.m.

The Christmas Eve dinner of a very quirky family is interrupted when a couple of somewhat inept robbers enter their home and hold them hostage. As the evening goes on, more and more folks are added to the home, till it’s bursting at the seams, because the robbers feel that they cannot let anyone leave. A menacing beginning eventually leads to a happy ending, however, with a cast featuring Kevin McCarthy as Dad; Dee McCarthy as Mom; Julia Gantzer as Beth; Bryce Seaborn and Jared Gantzer as Tony and Vinnie, the robbers on-the run; Christy Rahrig as Aunt Bunny; Phil Sakal as Uncle Bud; Laila Tongson as Tracie; Sally Goins as Aunt Rose and Bruce Revennaugh as Uncle Leo. Other neighbors and assorted folks are played by Susan Stotts as Mrs. Draper; Coen Cox as Paul; Maddie Gantzer as Emily; Ashley Scott as Mrs. Wakowski and Casey Scott as Officer Henley. The evening is rounded out by a visit by a group of very merry carolers: Cheryl Bragg, Drew Hartley, the Hendershott family; Mia McCarthy; Shirley Perry and Kelsey Simmons
