Medical Marijuana Growing Operation Coming To Meigs County
< < Back to medical-marijuana-growing-operation-coming-to-meigs-countyA medical marijuana growing operation is coming to Meigs County after Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program officials announced a list of 11 smaller marijuana growers that were granted operation licenses on Friday.
Agri-Med Ohio LLC will be operated by William Armstrong and Chris Campbell of Vienna, West Virginia. The proposed site for the operation is in Langsville, Ohio.
The license is a “Level II” license, meaning Agri-Med Ohio LLC initially can use up to 3,000 square feet of land for medical marijuana cultivation.
Up to twelve other “Level I” licenses, which allow for growers to use up to 25,000 square feet of land to cultivate medical marijuana, will be granted “in the coming weeks,” according to a press release.
The Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program received 109 “Level I” applications and 76 “Level II” applications in July. In total, up to 23 “Level I” and “Level II” growers could operate in the state.
Ohio law requires medical marijuana growers and dispensaries to be fully operational by September of 2018.
Messages were left with both Campbell and Armstrong.
