Unofficial Election Results for Tuscarawas County

Unofficial results are in for Tuscarawas County.

In the Village of Newcomerstown, Heather Wells (with 366 votes), David Sheperd (310 votes), Randy Little (249 votes), and James Friel (190 votes) earned seats on the Village Council, defeating Phillip Lambes (170 votes) and John Buss (159 votes).

In the Village of Strasburg, Dustin Briggs (with 462 votes), Liz Dreher (456 votes), Marty Zehnder (371 votes), and Jeffery Smith (330 votes) earned seats on the Village Council, while Steven Smith’s 319 votes fell short.

In the Garaway Local School District, Daniel Fearon (with 714 votes), Robert Coburn (682 votes), and April Beachy (655 votes) earned seats on the School Board, while Januery Tango’s 571 votes fell short.

In the New Philadelphia City School District, Janna Leeper (with 3,187 votes) and Denver Gallentine (2,009 votes) earned seats on the School Board, defeating Donald Kemp (1,502 votes) and Joe Stephon (990 votes).

Village of Mineral City residents renewed a 5-mill current expenses levy, 65 votes to 38.

Village of Tuscarawas residents renewed a 2-mill street repair levy, 137 votes to 30.

Bucks Township residents renewed a 0.5-mill fire protection levy, 107 votes to 30.

Franklin Township residents renewed a 0.5-mill cemetery maintenance levy, 749 votes to 316.

Goshen Township residents passed a 1.9-mill fire and EMS levy, 509 votes to 251.

Jefferson Township residents renewed a 0.5-mill cemetery maintenance levy, 201 votes to 63.

Lawrence Township residents passed a 0.5-mill recreation and pool levy, 876 votes to 560, as well as a 2-mill scenic hills levy, 682 votes to 424.

Salem Township residents renewed a 1-mill cemetery maintenance levy, 172 votes to 53.

Sandy Township residents renewed a 2-mill road repair levy, 296 votes to 117.

Warren Township residents renewed a 0.4-mill fire protection levy, 231 votes to 62.

Warwick Township residents passed a 1-mill fire equipment levy, 345 votes to 133.

Wayne Township residents passed a 2-mill road repair levy, 174 votes to 97, as well as a 3-mill road repair levy, 138 votes to 125.

Voters renewed a 1.6-mill Strasburg-Franklin Local Schools tax levy, 677 votes to 369.

Voters passed a 4-mill Arrowhead Joint Fire District expenses levy, 362 votes to 112.

Voters passed a 4-mill Tri-County Joint Ambulance tax levy, 806 votes to 493.

Voters renewed a 1-mill Tri-Division Joint Ambulance District tax levy, 218 votes to 67.
