Some Residents in West Virginia County Without Water
< < Back to residents-west-virginia-county-without-waterWAYNE, W.Va. (AP) – Some residents in a West Virginia county have been without water for eight days.
Wayne County water crews have been working to find the leak along Garretts Creek Road since last week. Wayne Mayor Danny Grace tells news outlets he doesn’t know when the service will be restored since crews haven’t been able to find the leak.
Grace says because of the county’s decades-old infrastructure, water lines are sometimes up to 12 feet deep in the ground.
The mayor says some people got the service back Thursday, but about 30 homes are still without water.
He says water is available at several places, including the water plant.
