The score was broken open by Colby Bartley and the Falcon offense after putting up four straight threes, combining for a total off 11 3-pointers on the game.
In the first half, Bartley led the way for the Falcons putting up 26 of Miller’s 40 points. He would lead the game in scoring with 37 points.
Also putting up offensive numbers for the Falcons, Blayton Cox would help with adding 10 points and an additional two steals.
The Miller Falcons would go on to win 71-60 against the Federal Hocking Lancers.
Brad Russell led the way for the Lancers the whole game, chalking up 30 points, three steals, and a whopping 6 of 6 from the free throw line.
Collin Jarvis would also help out the Lancer offense putting up 14 points and coming down with six rebounds to add to his totals.
Jonathan Thompson, coach of the Lancers, harped on working on defense and really picking up the tempo of the offense. “We needed stops, I have stressed defense all year and it just wasn’t there for us tonight,” Thompson said. “We talked all week on how we stop 23 [Bartley], he played a heck of game, we just couldn’t stop him.”
Coach Thompson seemed pretty pleased with the way Brad Russell performed today for the Lancers. “I’m glad he showed up to play today, we wouldn’t have been in it without him.”
The Federal Hocking Lancers are set to host the Eastern Eagles on Friday.
