CHILLICOTHE – The body found Monday in the wetlands of Goldie Gunlock Park in Chillicothe has been identified as 62-year-old Linda Roach. Roach was reported missing in November.

Chillicothe Police Chief Keith Washburn tells the Chillicothe Gazette a preliminary autopsy showed no signs of trauma and no clear indication of how Roach died. Toxicology results are pending. The condition of her body indicated she had been there for months.

Roach has been reported missing on Nov. 13 by her daughter who lives in Darke County.

This is the second death investigation this month involving a body being found in water at a Chillicothe park. On April 6, officials pulled the body of 55-year-old Kevin Penix from the Yoctangee Park lake. Penix’s official cause of death is pending toxicology results, but the initial autopsy found signs of drowning. Washburn said the two deaths are not connected.
