Trimble Comes Away From Homecoming With Convincing Win
< < Back to trimble-comes-away-from-homecoming-with-convincing-winGLOUSTER, Ohio- The energy in Glouster was electric for the Trimble Tomcats’ match up against the Miller Falcons. Fans had reason to celebrate before the kickoff.
It was a beautiful night for the Tomcats’ homecoming celebration. Sawyer Koons was crowned Homecoming King and the stands were covered in a blanket of pink in recognition of breast cancer awareness month.
The final score was just icing on the cake for the Tomcats. Trimble took down the Falcons 48-0 Friday.
Miller started off with the ball, but Landon Wiser swooped in with an interception to change possession. Conner Wright sealed the deal with a 33-yard touchdown carry just 26 seconds into the game. It was 7-0 with 11:34 left in the first quarter and the lead would only grow from there.
The Falcons struggled to advance down the field, due in part to numerous incomplete passes and Trimble’s unshakable defense. Sawyer Koons, Blake Guffey, and Shawn Turely put a stop to any hopes Miller had to make it to the end zone.
Trimble had three interceptions in the first half thanks to Wiser, Bryce Downs, and Cam Kittle as the Tomcats turned in another stellar defensive performance. The Tomcats shut out their sixth team of the season and remain undefeated at the top of the TVC-Hocking after week seven.
Trimble gets a week off next week, but the Falcons are back on the field Friday October 18 at home against the Eastern Eagles.
