Todd Burge Returns to Parkersburg, WV For Birthday Show Nov. 23

West Virgnia troubadour Todd Burge will perform his very last show of the decade on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Arts Bridge (925 Market Street, Parkersburg), with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and music starting at 7:30 p.m.
“I started doing (birthday shows) years ago, in my 20s. If I was turning 24, I’d do 24 songs, you know,” said Burge. “And then, you know, years go by… you do 26 songs — and after you get into your 30s and beyond, you realize, ‘this is impossible! I’m wearing everyone out!'”
Burge realized that he couldn’t maintain that precise formula for birthday shows, but he found a way to creatively curate setlists as to highlight work from throughout his career.
In the interview embedded above, WOUB spoke to Burge about the upcoming show, how he goes about curating a setlist for a show that is career-spanning, and some of the things coming out for Burge fans in 2020 to get excited about.
