Lady Bulldogs Struggle to Find the Bottom of the Net in Loss to Alexander< < Back to
THE PLAINS, Ohio- It was a tough scoring night for the Lady Bulldogs as the Alexander Lady Spartans routed them 48-18 in The Alley on Thursday.
Putting together a total of 13 points in the first half and only five in the second, the Lady Bulldogs struggled to find a way to the basket. No one could seem to rally the team, which led to long scoring droughts throughout the second half.
Laura Manderick, although an off night for her, still led the Lady Bulldogs with seven points. Mindi Gregory chipped in five, giving the team 12 combined points. On the flip side, Jadyn Mace for Alexander fired in 12 points. On her senior night, Taylor Meadows scored 11 for the final time in her home court.
Turnovers played a big role in the Lady Bulldogs’ miscues as well, having more turnovers than points. Overall, nothing felt right for the Lady Bulldogs.
Losing skids are hard to snap, and this team is seeing the worst of it. Having only won three games this season, and the season coming to a close, they have faced many challenges throughout the way.
Looking forward, this team has four more games to add to the win column. Opening up the month of February they take on the Meigs Lady Marauders, a team they came close to victory with, in the last matchup.
