For everyone hunkered down at home, the NPR Book Concierge is back and bigger than ever. This year’s batch of titles is the largest in the Concierge’s eight-year history, with more than 380 recommended reads, all published in 2020. Users can also browse all eight years of recommendations – that’s nearly 2,500 books total, spanning 2013 to 2020. Mix and match the interactive tags to discover “Book Club Ideas,” “Eye-Opening Reads,” “Funny Stuff,” or find the next read for the kid or teen in your life.

The 2020 Concierge features recommendations from more than 100 NPR staffers, including Ari Shapiro, Noel King, Michel Martin, Mary Louise Kelly, Melissa Block, Linda Holmes and Shereen Marisol Meraji. The collection also includes recommendations from more than 30 of our trusted critics, including Maureen Corrigan, Nancy Pearl, Annalisa Quinn and more.

Since 2013, the Book Concierge was developed by NPR Books and NPR Visuals to give readers a trusted year-end list in a dynamic format for every screen. Last year, visitors to NPR.org cumulatively spent more than eight years browsing the Concierge to find their next reads.
