PIKETON, Ohio (WOUB) — The Piketon Redstreaks took on the Paint Valley Bearcats, and after a scoreless, turnover-ridden first quarter, it looked as if the game would be a defensive battle.

Quarterback Levi Gullion found the end zone for the Redstreaks for the first time early in the second quarter to give his team a 6-0 lead, but that was his first of many trips to the house.

Gullion scored four rushing touchdowns in the second quarter alone, the Bearcats were unable to answer with any points of their own and when the buzzer sounded Piketon took a commanding 24-0 lead to the Locker room.

To start off the second half Piketon defensive back Levi Stanley picked off Paint Valley quarterback Cavan Cooper with an amazing one-handed interception. Gullion would then connect with John Burton for a 64-yard passing touchdown to cap off the drive.

The Bearcats would show life throughout the second half managing to find the end zone three times, but it was not enough to stop Piketon’s high-powered offense.

Gullion would go on to rush for three more touchdowns in the second half meaning he accounted for seven total touchdowns in the game. He finished with 16 carries for 205 yards as well as 13 completions for 203 yards, meaning he accounted for 408 total yards of offense. An impressive performance from the senior quarterback to say the least.

Piketon (6-0) will look to keep the undefeated season going as they host Southeastern (0-5), as Paint Valley (3-3) will look to rebound against Huntington (1-3) back on their own turf.
