The unofficial 2021 General Election results for Belmont County

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WOUB) — The contested races for Belmont County have been decided, with 27.63% registered voters in Belmont County casting their votes. 

Donald Vincenzo won the St. Clairsville City Council first ward seat with 151 votes. Jeff Thrash took the second ward seat with 202 votes and Terra Butler won the fourth ward seat with 146 votes. 

There were four winners for the Barnesville Village Council: Brian Yarnall with 482 votes, Leslie Tickhill with 409 votes, Steven Hill with 357 votes and Tony C. Johnson with 328 votes. 

The four winners for Bethesda Village Council were Jay Van Van Horn with 112 votes, Ruth A. Saffell with 111 votes, Carol A. Merritt with 103 votes and Zachery Gaston with 107 votes. 

For the Flushing Village Council, the four winners were Sandra E. Twarog with 98 votes, Steve Ronyak with 98 votes, George Ivan Terry with 89 votes and Chad Sutton with 88 votes. 

In the Village of Holloway, John F. Sheppard won a village council seat with 34 votes. 

There were four winners for the Yorkville Village Council: Doug Delvecchio with 56 votes, Nathan Schaal with 43 votes, Matt Goolie with 41 votes and Jennifer Boughner with 35 votes. 

There were two winners for Colerain Township trustee: Jeffrey S. Gazdik with 622 votes and John W. Yoker with 505 votes. 

There were two winners for Mead Township trustee: Matt Merryman with 803 votes and Clyde Hammond with 524 votes. 

There were two winners for Richland Township trustee: Jim DeNoble with 1,431 votes and Rick Ferrell with 1,299 votes. 

There was one winner for Richland Township fiscal officer: Matthew S. Berher with 1,184 votes. 

There were two winners for Smith Township trustee: Ronald W. Duvall with 174 votes and Michael B. DeLaney with 172 votes. 

There were two winners for Somerset Township trustee: Dale L. Betts with 195 votes and James W. Anderson with 178 votes. 

There were two winners for Wheeling Township trustee: Richard Verardi with 215 votes and Michael S. Drake with 212 votes. 

There were three winners for Barnesville School Board: Tammy Wells with 988 votes, Leslie Shultz with 741 votes and Janice Milliken with 630 votes. 

There were three winners for Bellaire School Board: Jim LaRoche with 885 votes, Susie Rataiczak with 807 votes and Jim Thoburn received 604 votes.

There were three winners for Buckeye School Board: Ashley West with 103 votes, Clint Powell with 92 votes and Brooke Stingle with 79 votes. 

There were three winners for Bridgeport School Board: Patrick N. McConnaughy with 592 votes, Karrie Puskas with 570 votes and Donald D. Cash Jr. with 430 votes.

There were three winners for Martins Ferry School Board: James M. Agnew with 980 votes, Jon Nagel with 943 votes and David A. Bruney with 901 votes. 

There were two winners for Shadyside School Board. Joel Traylor with 727 votes and Curt P. Wach with 692 votes. 

There were two winners for Switzerland of Ohio School Board: Jerry Gust with 259 votes and Kenneth Phillips with 238 votes. 

There were three winners for the Union School Board: Larry Cain with 968 votes, Edward Stenger with 961 votes and Dylan R. Fowkes with 807 votes. 

The Belmont County 1 mill senior services renewal levy passed with 9,422 votes.

The city of Martins Ferry marijuana ordinance passed with 435 votes. 

The Bridgeport Village additional 5 mills levy for police passed with 172 votes. 

The Brookside Village additional 3 mills levy for fire protection passed with 110 votes. 

The Brookside Village marijuana ordinance did not pass with 76 votes against.

The Flushing Village 2 mills levy for parks did not pass with 92 votes against. 

The Flushing Village 3 mills levy for police passed with 90 votes. 

Holloway Village Roads and Bridges passed with 37 votes.

The Morristown Village marijuana ordinance did not pass with 27 votes against. 

The Powhatan Point Village marijuana ordinance did not pass with 123 votes against. 

The Yorkville Village 1.5 mills levy for current expenses passed with 49 votes. 

The Yorkville Village 5 mills levy for police passed with 47 votes. 

The Yorkville Village marijuana ordinance passed with 47 votes.

The Flushing Township 2.5 mills levy for roads and bridges passed with 58 votes. 

The Mead Township 1 mill levy for roads and bridges passed with 311 votes. 

The Somerset Township 1.3 mills levy for roads and bridges passed with 232 votes. 

The Warren Township Park District 1 mill levy passed with 56 votes. 

The Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library 1 mill levy passed with 1,165 votes. 

The St. Clairsville Public Library 0.5 mill levy passed with 2,301 votes. 

The OR&W Fire District additional 3 mills levy passed with 670 votes.
