TVC-Ohio Standings

1st   Vinton County Vikings (5-2, 4-1)

The Vikings overtook the top spot in the TVC-Ohio with a win against conference opponent Alexander on Monday. As of this week, Vinton County now sits tied with Nelsonville-York and Alexander in conference record at 4-1. The Vikings will look to maintain their top seed against Lynchburg Clay on Tuesday.

2nd Nelsonville-York Buckeyes (7-3, 4-1)

Nelsonville-York’s sole win this week came against Eastern, granting them the most overall wins in the TVC-Ohio. While the Buckeyes have exceeded expectations this season, their biggest litmus test of the year occurs on Wednesday against undefeated Trimble.

3rd  Alexander Spartans (5-4, 4-1)

Alexander fell from the top seed to the third seed this week in their sole 51-35 blowout loss against Vinton County. The Spartans will end the new year against the 9-2 New Lexington Panthers on Wednesday.

4th Athens Bulldogs (3-7, 3-2)

After a Rocky 0-7 start, the Bulldogs have now won three straight conference wins following their victory against Wellston on Tuesday. They have the rest of the year off with no games this week but will kick off 2022 against Vinton County on January 3.

5th Meigs Marauders (6-3, 2-3)

The Lady Marauder’s sole win came against conference opponent River Valley on Monday. Meigs continues to be on the tail end of the TVC-Ohio title race at fifth place, and look to record another win against Southern on Tuesday.

6th River Valley Raiders (4-5, 1-4)

River Valley’s chance at jumping Meigs for the fifth seed came short following their 55-42 loss against the Lady Marauders last Monday. The Raiders have a chance to make their record .500 against Southern, and will resume conference play in the New Year against Nelsonville-York and Vinton County.

7th Wellston Golden Rockets (3-8, 0-6)

Wellston’s winless record in the TVC-Ohio continued with a 55-43 loss against Athens last Tuesday. The Golden Rockets are now 0-7 in the month of December but will have one last chance to win this month against Clay on Thursday.

TVC-Hocking Standings

1st  Trimble Tomcats (8-0, 5-0)

The Tomcats TVC-Hocking title charge continued this week in a big win against Waterford last Thursday. The win against the Wildcats put Trimble as the sole undefeated team in the conference and first place outright. The Tomcats will continue their tough stretch of games against Nelsonville-York on Wednesday.

2nd Waterford Wildcats (6-1, 5-1)

The Wildcats suffered their first loss of the season against undefeated Trimble last week, and now sit at second in the conference. Waterford will look to bounce back from the loss against Morgan and Jackson next week.

3rd  South Gallia Rebels (6-1, 3-1)

With the win against Belpre, The Rebels are now tied for overall record with Waterford. They’ll look to keep pressure on the Wildcats this season and hang around in the title race  with games against conference opponent Eastern and Notre Dame this week.

4th  Eastern Eagles (5-5, 2-2)

While Eastern came up with a solid conference victory against Federal Hocking, a loss against Nelsonville-York sits them at .500 halfway through the season. However the Eagles are presented with an opportunity to tie up their conference record against South Gallia, as they play against the Rebels on Monday.

5th   Belpre Golden Eagles (2-9, 1-4)

The Golden Eagles followed up back to back wins with back to back losses against South Gallia and Danville this past week. They’ll look to turn their season around against South Webster on Tuesday.

6th  Southern Tornadoes (1-6, 0-4)

After starting the season 0-6, the Tornadoes finally recorded their first win of the year in a 50-21 victory against Miller last Monday. However, they’ll be faced with three consecutive matches against Meigs, River Valley and Hannan this week.

7th  Federal Hocking Lancers (0-7, 0-4)

The Lancers continued their winless season with a 55-48 loss against rival Eastern last Monday. Federal Hocking will have to wait until 2022 to get their first win of the year against Belpre.
