TVC-Ohio Standings

1st   Vinton County Vikings (7-2, 5-1)

The Lady Vikings sole match played this week resulted in a 53-20 blowout win over Athens on Monday. Vinton County will have a busy slate of tough matches against Chillicothe, Marietta and AP ranked first place Wheelersburg.

2nd Nelsonville-York Buckeyes (8-5, 5-1)

The Buckeyes started their week with a victory against River Valley, but a loss against Fairland on Saturday split the results on the week for Nelsonville-York. They’ll have a shot to take the top seed in the TVC-Ohio with a pair of conference matches against Athens and Meigs.

3rd  Alexander Spartans (6-6, 5-1)

Alexander started their win off strong, securing a win against conference rivals Meigs on Saturday. However, a loss against Waterford Saturday leaves their out of conference record at 1-5. They’ll have a chance to secure wins against Jackson and River Valley this week.

4th Athens Bulldogs (3-8, 3-3)

The Bulldogs loss against Vinton County on Monday ended their turnaround 3 game winning streak, but results by other teams kept them at fourth place to end the week. They’ll have a chance to rack up more wins against McClain and conference rival Nelsonville-York this week.

5th Meigs Marauders (7-4, 2-4)

The Marauders only had one matchup played this week, which resulted in a 34-57 loss against conference opponent Alexander. While the Marauders sit at a nice 7-4 record on the week, they now sit at a rough 2-4 conference record on the season. They’ll start this week with a matchup against Eastern, then will look to secure conference wins against Wellston and Nelsonville-York to keep them within fighting distance of TVC-Ohio title contention.

6th River Valley Raiders (5-7, 1-5)

The Raiders continued their recent rough patch of results with losses to Nelsonville-York and Rock Hill this past week. The Raiders will look to return to good form this week, but face tough matchups against Oak Hill and Alexander.

7th Wellston Golden Rockets (4-8, 0-6)

The Golden Rockets took a break from the actions this week, as they had no games scheduled on the week. They’ll be jumping back into play and will look to secure wins with matches against Oak Hill and Meigs this week.

TVC-Hocking Standings

1st  Trimble Tomcats (10-0, 6-0)

The Tomcats continued to prove why they were a state title contender and clear favorites for the TVC-Hocking title with a win against South Gallia on Monday. After a run of tough matchups, the Tomcats will face easier competition against Belpre and Southern.

2nd Waterford Wildcats (9-1, 5-1)

The Lady Wildcats only had one matchup this week, which ended in a 43-26 victory against Alexander Saturday. Waterford will look to continue their TVC-Hocking title charge alive as they face off against Monroe Central and Federal Hocking this week.

3rd  South Gallia Rebels (7-4, 4-2)

After starting the season off 6-1, the Rebels have now lost three straight matchups following defeats to Trimble and Oak Hill. South Gallia will look to turn around this run of poor form as they square off against Southern and Athens this week.

4th  Eastern Eagles (7-6, 3-3)

Eastern’s managed to hover around .500 on the season, as wins against conference rival Southern and Symmes Valley keep them at average on the season. Their sights are set on district rival Meigs on Monday for a chance to earn bragging rights and a W on the season.

5th   Belpre Golden Eagles (3-10, 2-4)

Belpre’s sole matchup came against winless Federal Hocking this week, which ended in a 41-35 win. The Golden Eagles will once again only have one matchup this week as they square off against conference opponent Easter on Thursday.

6th Southern Tornadoes (3-8, 0-4)

The Tornadoes suffered a blowout 56-26 loss against Eastern last Monday, but a win against Wahama resulted in a split of results. Southern is faced with a busiest week of matches in the TVC-Hocking, starting the week off with a conference matchup against South Gallia. They’ll then run into back-to-back matchups against conference opponents Federal Hocking and Trimble, then ending the week against Ravenswood.

7th  Federal Hocking Lancers (0-8, 0-5)

The Lady Lancers sole matchup came against Belpre, which ended in a 35-41 loss. Due to a pair of weather related cancellations Federal Hocking’s loss was the only result recorded on the week. They’ll look to turn the season around and record their first win with back to back matchups against conference opponents Southern and Waterford, followed by a tough matchup against Adena.
