Jackson overcomes Week 10 trap against Chillicothe

Back in 2020, Chillicothe dug themselves out of a two-score deficit to come back and steal the title from Jackson’s grasp. This year, Jackson was determined to take this title as their own.
The first quarter started in Cavaliers’ hands, only for the ball to be fumbled and recovered by the Ironmen. However, this turnover wouldn’t prove fruitful due to several flags thrown against Jackson.
A blow of the whistle would send the game into the second quarter, and it would send Chillicothe into an entirely new mindset. Tayvion Galloway would recover a fumble and would swing momentum into Chillicothe’s favor temporarily.
It was Jackson’s Nolan Johnson who would ultimately tack on the first points of the game for the Ironmen. As the extra point soared in, it was now a one-score game.
On a last-ditch effort, Chillicothe tries to beat the clock with a field goal attempt, only to have it blocked by Jackson. The teams would head into the locker room with Jackson up one touchdown.
Both teams took the field after halftime hungry for their share of the title, but it was Cade Wolford who hungered the most. Wolford would end this game with 38 carries and 236 yards.
Tre King of Chillicothe responds rather quickly after snagging a beautiful lob by Mason Doughty. The fourth quarter would briefly become a one-score game again, until Eli Broermann digs Chillicothe’s hole a little deeper with a 4-yard rushing touchdown.
The Ironmen would end this one 21 to 7 after an interception late in the fourth quarter. This mean that Jackson clinched the FAC title solely, and heads into the playoffs with yet another victory under their belt.
