Logan dominated play from the opening kickoff to the final whistle, and Brayden Sturgell had a monster night for the Chieftains. His offensive line was able to create big holes for him to run through, and he took full advantage.
He found the end zone on each of Logan’s first two possessions of the game, capping of the opening drive by scoring from fifteen yards out carrying multiple Zanesville defenders over the goal line with him.
Logan’s defensive unit similarly had their way with the Blue Devils. The Logan defense stopped the Blue Devils patented ground game in its tracks, rendering them unable to move the ball effectively.
Logan was able to find the end zone two more times before the half, and they did not look back in the second frame, continuing their dominance to come away with an emphatic 39-0 victory.
With the loss Zanseville will miss out on the region 11 playoffs, finishing the season with a 3-7 record.
Logan finishes the year at 4-6 but will also miss out on postseason play in region seven.
