‘Mermish art’ on display at Casa through Sept. 3
< < Back toATHENS, Ohio (WOUB) – Through September 3 Casa Nueva (6 West State Street) features a display of artist Asher Pollock’s artwork. The display went up last week, and an opening reception is scheduled for Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The opening will feature a crystal singing bowl sound bath by Kojun Hayes.
The topic of the display is “mermish” art. “Mermish” refers to “merpeople” such as “mermaids” and “mermen,” the aquatic creatures of folklore and mythology.
