During their first possession, Piketon ran its way through the Paint Valley defense where Buddy Wilson snuck into the endzone. The Redstreaks successfully elected to go for two, and Piketon led 8-0.
Paint Valley’s next drive looked promising, although two huge sacks from Zach Hannah would end the drive prematurely.
Redstreaks’ quarterback Luke Gullion then threw a 44-yard dot to Buddy Wilson, who recorded his second touchdown of the day. After another two-point conversion, Piketon led 16-0.
After a Mason Thacker interception and empty possessions on both sides, the Redstreaks offense again kicked it into gear. Luke Gullion then threw a deep ball to Brent McGuire who had an impressive circus catch for the touchdown. McGuire also punched in the two-point conversion, and Piketon led 24-0
With a little over a minute left in the half, the Bearcats quickly made their way down the field. Carson Free caught a perfectly placed ball by Preston Fauber and drove in Paint Valley’s first points. After a fourth successful two-point conversion, the Redstreaks led 24-8 going into the half.
The second half of the game was a completely different story for the Bearcats as they scored an impressive 41 points and came back to win the game 49-30.
