ATHENS, OH – Over the next several months, WOUB TV will be airing each episode in its Our Town series. Two episodes will air each month on Thursday nights at 9 p.m.

Our Town showcases cities in the region to highlight their histories, diversities and what makes them special. There are eight episodes in the series. The communities highlighted are Lancaster, Pomeroy, Nelsonville, Jackson, Athens, Morgan County, Gallipolis and Chillicothe.

Our Town is one of WOUB’s most popular local productions. It helps people in our region learn about the stories of their communities and understand the role past residents played in American history. It also helps people learn about where their culture and traditions originated,” said WOUB General Manager Mark Brewer. “We are pleased to be able to broadcast each of these programs again so some can watch them for the first time, and others can enjoy watching them again.”

Our Town: Lancaster will be shown on Thursday, February 15 at 9 p.m. The first in the series, it was originally released in 2014. Our Town: Pomeroy, which was originally released in 2015, will air on February 22 at p.m.

“We are pleased to be able to bring the entire Our Town series to WOUB viewers over the next several months,” said Director of Television Kayla Romine. “The series has come to mean so much to so many communities in our area and is a wonderful educational resource for people in our region.”
