Charlie Adkins wins a fourth term as Athens County commissioner
< < Back toATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WOUB) — Incumbent Charlie Adkins beat Independent Jon Rose in the Athens County commissioner race.
Adkins won with 13,783 votes, while Rose received 7,886.
He said he is thankful to be reelected for his fourth term.
“The folks of Athens County know me and have supported me in what I do,” Adkins said. “I represent Athens County and the people the best I can.”
Despite losing the county commissioner election, Rose said this is not the end of the road for him.
“We’re going to continue fighting the fight on behalf of people who need it the most,” Rose said. “And I’m excited to continue and see where this adventure brings us.”
Rose said he is thankful for his first experience running for office and plans to continue advocating for citizens in southeast Ohio.
